Level 1

A Simple Solution – VQ’s Corporate Volunteering Program

Volunteering Queensland’s Corporate Volunteering Program is a solution to the growing number of corporate entities seeking to make a difference in their communities. Corporate Volunteering is simply a program that is supported by an employer to encourage their employees to volunteer on paid company time. More and more organisations are seeking volunteering opportunities for their staff through VQ. The rise in this trend can be attributed to the following:

  • Increasing awareness of corporate social responsibility
  • Increasing publicity and government agendas around volunteering and social inclusion
  • Growing need for professional development opportunities for teams
  • Increasing competitiveness for staff and associated focus on employment conditions
  • Rising interest in becoming an employer of choice

Corporate volunteering has been popular in the United States for some time. Australia is now following this trend, with a significant rise in socially responsible corporate-community partnerships. Volunteering Queensland are now responding to this need in a simple, time efficient and cost effective way to meet the needs of the corporate community.

The process is simple.

  1. Log your corporate volunteering requirements here.

  2. Request VQ membership information, and register the number of employees to be placed here.

  3. Receive links to matching community opportunities via email, or simply search our online database for group or individual opportunities

  4. Contact your chosen organisation as well as VQ and finalise your volunteering opportunity here

  5. Provide feedback regarding your volunteering placement to VQ here

Through the Corporate Volunteering Program, Volunteering Queensland can provide an easy way to get that active social responsibility aspect in your organisation.
