Community
leadership is critical to ensuring healthy, sustainable and
fair communities. This website aims to provide leaders with
a range of practical resources and tools, designed specifically
for working in community settings.
This Community Leadership website is
the result of a partnership project between the Education
and Research Unit of
Volunteering Queensland and the School of Learning and
Professional Studies (within the Faculty of Education) Queensland
University of Technology.
Development of the site was made possible
through a Queensland University of Technology Community Services
Grant received in 2002 and 2004. Please click here to view people who contributed to this project.
Here you can find a collection of tools
that will enhance personal leadership skills and could extend your methods of working with groups. These tools have been successfully
used by facilitators from Volunteering Queensland in their
capacity building work within local communities.
Explore the philosophies and experiences of fellow leaders in the community, and discover some of their strategies and thoughts on community leadership.
