National Training Information Service

The official national register of information on training packages, qualifications, courses, units of competency and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) which has been developed for experienced training sector users.


Department of Employment and Training

Operates to create opportunities for Queenslanders to acquire the knowledge, skills and creativity to drive economic prosperity, build strong and vibrant communities and enhance lifelong well-being.

Queensland Legislation

Legislation and policies, including the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 and registration polices, such as retention of student results and assessment records framework and transition requirements and maintaining current scope of registration.

Training Partnerships & RTO’s

The portal contains information for RTOs, GTOs, PEOs and Apprenticeships centres. It provides information on funding and tenders, training packages and delivery, registration and audit, as well as fact sheets, resources and news.


Health & Community Services Workforce Council

A not-for-profit, incorporated association which is one of a network of training advisory bodies in the state of Queensland. The Workforce Council is the principal source of advice to government and the community services and health industries regarding training needs and reforms.


Volunteering Australia’s National Volunteer Skills Centre

The National Volunteer Skills Centre (NVSC) is a project funded by the Commonwealth Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and managed by Volunteering Australia. There are three key goals of the NVSC project:

  • to support volunteers and organisations to build their skills and knowledge;
  • to strengthen networks and encourage collaboration and the sharing of information;
  • to reduce the duplication of resources and the costs associated with skills development and training.
