Consultancy & Projects

Volunteering Queensland’s Education Unit focuses on the development of skills, knowledge, relationships and environments that enhance healthy and productive communities. The Education staff provide a variety of opportunities relating to engaging the community. We can:

  • Deliver our established training to specific groups on contracted basis
  • Customise and deliver adapted programs to suit the needs and interests of specific groups.
  • Initiate, conduct and facilitate consultancy-based projects that utilise our community-based developmental approaches.

Programs and projects are tailored to suit the specific needs and context of the group. This includes adapting the format or content of our standard delivery programs, or developing alternative education models.

VQ’s education staff are all accredited trainers and assessors and have extensive experience in providing a range of formal and informal learning opportunities, as well as utilising their knowledge of learning in developmentally based projects. If you require assistance in identifying the needs of your organisation or group, or the most appropriate areas for training and development, please feel free to contact us.

The Education staff of VQ have undertaken some significant initiatives, including the development of the first university elective subject in working with volunteers at the University of Queensland; and the development and delivery of the first Queensland Regional Youth Community Leadership Program.
