Title: Volunteering Australia's 12th National Conference
on Volunteering, 3-5 September 2008, Radisson Resort on the Gold Coast
Volunteering Australia is pleased to invite you to the 12th National Conference
on Volunteering to discuss, debate and exchange ideas and information
on the issues that impact the 5.4 million Australians who volunteer. The
theme for this year's conference is 'Catch the New Waves' which offers
the opportunity to explore current and emerging trends in volunteering.

Title: Adult Learners’ Week Grants and Awards
Adult Learners’ Week (ALW 1-8 September) celebrates and promotes
all forms of adult and lifelong learning. Community grants are available
for activities and programs that encourage adult members of the community
to become inovled in learning
Applications have closed for grants, the ALW Judging Panel meets Monday
16 June, this site wiil keep you posted.

Your Organisation Into a Volunteer Magnet
The second edition of the highly successful volunteer management guide
was launched in December 2007.
The magnet project is unique in that it harnesses the experience of everyday
volunteer managers from around the world and asks them to describe, in
just 500 words, those things which make their volunteer projects ‘magnetic’.
