Job Search
Tips on using the job search facility to find a volunteering opportunity.
BASIC SEARCH
- I want to volunteer for: option to search for a particular
type of volunteer job.
All - searches for all types of jobs as outlined below.
Event jobs – jobs relating to an event in the organisation is running or is involved in.
Project jobs – jobs for a particular project which have a defined time frame.
Ongoing jobs – jobs with an ongoing need.
- Job category: an optional category that will help in narrowing
your search to jobs in your areas of interest. Multiple categories can chosen
in one search by using the ctrl key.
- Location OR Postcode: you have the option of choosing to search volunteer jobs based on where the jobs are located, either by selecting a location OR entering a postcode, but not both (if both are used the postcode will cancel out the location selected). Multiple locations can be selected using the ctrl key or multiple postcodes can be entered separated by a comma.
ADVANCED SEARCH

The advanced search options allow you to search for more specific volunteering
opportunities.
- Organisation Type: find jobs that have been listed by a
certain type of organisation.
- Availability: find jobs that are available on the days
you wish to volunteer.
- Suitability: find jobs that have been designated as suitable
for specific volunteers.
Age - jobs indicated as suitable for specific age groups.
Groups - jobs indicated as suitable for groups of volunteers.
Other - jobs indicated as suitable for particular volunteers. Eg. Virtual volunteers
Organisation Search
The organisation search facility allows you to search for organisations registered on this site.
1. Search by Organisation Name: keyword search
AND/OR
2. Search by Type of Service: search for organisations by the
main type of service they provided.
